Community Support and ResearchThe Community Support and Research Unit (CSRU) is dedicated to promoting full recovery and community participation for people with serious mental illness and/or substance use problems. CSRU offers services in several areas including advocacy, community development, community support, direct service, housing, partnership development, program development and evaluation and research. CSRU is committed to empowering people with mental health and substance use problems and encouraging their participation in all aspects of our work. CSRU is also involved in a wide range of international projects and provides leadership in supporting and coordinating Early Intervention and Family-Centred Care initiatives at CAMH. CSRU consists of more than 25 staff members with diverse experience and education. Services are delivered by the Community Research Planning and Evaluation Team, the Community Support and Development Team, the Income Maintenance and Advocacy Program, Homes for Special Care and Work Adjustment and Employment Support Services. We provide assistance, support and advocacy for housing, income, work, social support; community support, partnership development, program planning, evaluation and research. Many services provided by CSRU are for CAMH clients only. Interested individuals should ask their case manager or service provider to contact CSRU directly. CAMH clients and people in the community can also connect to CSRU's Work Adjustment and Employment Support Services program directly. For more information, please contact:
